+ I watched a video by Antonio on finding the lead of an article and made notes:
We need to be ultra specific when creating content – in some cases that means making a definitive decision
Make sure it’s really clear and if something applies to multiple sections don’t pigeonhole it into one
‘my goal is to get people riled up’ – have a right vs. wrong, a big tick and a cross – get people to share and pass it around
Be really clear between the variations, describe each
What is the true lead?
Probably one of the best things you can do with your writing is put together an outline
+ I was writing an article on buying your first Rolex at the time and I went ahead and created an outline. I did make a right vs. wrong pronouncement on new vs. vintage (better to buy new for a first Rolex) but didn’t feel I should dictate which model to buy.
+ It turns out it is NOT my job to put articles in the calendar, as I don’t know all the publication routines.
One thing I did to embody the 10 Commandments: Communicated with Travis about some sleep troubles that were impacting my productivity.
Next steps: FINISH checklist.
