A few thoughts about Jeremy’s top 12 Thumbnails:
1. ) 9 out of 12 gender-specific.
2.) Almost no copy. What little copy there is is really Spartan, e.g. “Don’t buy!” Picture and headline say it all. Copy usually red or pink.
3.) Lots of numbers: top 10, the big 5, etc…
4.) Jeremy’s face appears in nearly all of them. Just like TMF and Aaron. Maybe bring Antonio back to a few of ours.
5.) Jeremy is really good-looking. So are the girls in his videos. Who are they?
6.) Probably not created by a thumbnail artist. They all look like stills from the video with just a bit of copy and symbols photoshopped in.
7.) The headlines make it pretty obvious that Jeremy’s native language isn’t english. To the proofreader in me this is a bit off-putting but I wonder whether it doesn’t add to Jeremy’s charm. It certainly does when he talks.
8.) Top video was a response to frequently requested content. How can we do that?
A few questions about his channel:
1. ) How is he monetized? Do any of these fragrances sponsor him? So many of them seem too large to need it. Every scent he lists has an amazon affiliate link.
2.) He has a patreon site. Why? Are we allowed to? Perhaps share certain content with paid subscribers only?
3.) How does he rank the fragrances? Where and how did he get his street cred, so to speak?
4.) All of his youtube videos contain links to other videos. We should do that. I think Tom would agree with me, based on what I’ve read in his book so far.
