I’m learning and relearning how important communication is for this job. I like to keep Antonio informed. My job is to make his easier, which includes not emailing him every time I do something or solve a problem. He trusts me to keep daily operations smooth. With that in mind, here are some reasons to cc him, followed by a few reasons not to.
CC Antonio on emails when…
1.) Menfluential are asking about scheduling, confirming shipment or asking him about a new sponsored post.
2.) Staff are asking about attendance.
3.) I need authorization on a decision that only he can give.
4.) When he needs the information, e.g. talking points, links, deliverables, etc..
Don’t CC Antonio on emails…
1.) In order to light a fire under the recipient
2.) In order to CYA.
3.) When YOU can make the call yourself.
4.) When asking MF for links or codes
5.) If you can solve the problem without his involvement.
